i've identified the Dockers store where Michael Tracy bought and then subsequently returned these pants after wearing them. i will be pursuing criminal prosecution.
Michael Tracey in a light blue sport coat and tan chinos.A close up of the chinos show the sizing sticker is still on the pants.

Capital punishment in the US. No CP in all blue states, most purple and some red. The only one with a D Gov is Arizona (and sorta Nevada)

i take issue with the idea that dems play a central role in executions. at the federal level, no dem president has overseen an execution since JFK. at the state level, there are more than i would like, but they’re typically states with purple or red legislatures.
One more thing about the death penalty before going offline. As disgusted as we should be by Trump's bloodlust, we should NOT lose sight of the CENTRAL role of Democrats in upholding, expanding, and enabling this system that seems to horrify so many people right now. It really cannot be said enough

one of the ways the media shows which side they prefer, is which politicians they quote uncharitably out-of-context and which they clean up for even when what they actually say and do is offensive (the Biden story ran on the front page less than a week before the 24 election)

The faces of the future Democratic Party are Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jon Ossoff, Zohran Mamdani, Abdul El-Sayed, Sarah McBride, James Talarico; we're building a party that represents all Americans, as best as we can, & I'm proud of that effort even as I'm sometimes disappointed.

obviously institutional power in the thinktank ecosystem is difficult to quantify exactly but "Harry Reid senior staffer > John Fetterman senior staffer > pres. of self-founded thinktank" is a path directly away from the centers of power in the caucus.

I mean I get what she’s saying but I very much did vote for anti-gay marriage Democrats in the late 2000s, including Obama.
You would never vote for a Democrat that says they don't support access to your health care and civil rights and you should stop expecting trans people to do that.

politics is not monocausal etc etc, but we def get a bit too clever by half trying to explain why people vote for right wing parties, especially in europe imo. 'they're against immigration so they vote for the most anti-immigrant party' explains a whole lot.

This is dumb even on its own terms because it's falling for the idea "MAHA" is a real thing with its own voter base. It's not. Some grifters pretend it's a distinct mass movement but it's simply not. RFK was on track for <2%. It's not a coherent bloc, it's just part of the general swirl of Trumpism.

OP may think her education innoculated her against MAHA, but its her privilege that put her at risk in the first place
