One thing that i don’t see people noting about the Cornell Sun’s reporting on the rape case is that everyone who decided to take the risk and made the core decisions about what would be published is a woman

Didn't find anything (via the exhaustive lit review of "asking bluesky", lol) so I wrote all about what I'm thinking about LLMs, which is not how to write code but what tools and processes do we need for teams to thrive if people are churning out code very fast andromedayelton.com/2026/09/30/t...

I've seen a ton of AI dev stuff to the effect of "here's my personal toolchain, model selection, etc." but much less to the effect of "here is how our team uses AI and still achieves PR review / does shared architectural thinking / avoids cognitive debt". Is anyone writing on that?

One of my goals in writing this book was to get a copy in every college library so that survivors entering the Title IX system would know what they were getting into—and be able to use that knowledge however they wanted. But a lot of schools banned the book.

Omigod, this is the most heartwarming story possible! Backpack (bear 89) is the son of the 2019 winner of Fat Bear Week, Holly (bear 435). In 2007, he injured his foot & a practice of riding on momma's Holly's back had a new meaning: he was mobility-restricted while it healed. So Holly moved him.
From DISCVR blog's Facebook page, a momma bear & a yearling cub on her back in the shallow water. I think the background has been swapped out, and I can't rule out some AI use there? God, Facebook has become the social media for AI slop : (

The title of the article, which I link below, is "How Bear 89 earned the name Backpack"

Fuck ChatGPT flyers. The future is broadsheets.
A crowded broadsheet with way too many fonts. It says:
Forget ChatGPT Flyers
Say it with
Broadsheets
Unlimited fonts
Stretch them
Or cram a really long sentence into one line for no good reason
No whitespace
Mix capital and lowercase
Pointing hands
(They're called manicules!)
Don't be left behind
Broadsheets are the future

Saw this at the thrift store with my 15 yr old, and misread it as "Charcuterie Mistrial." Which would be a rather different thing.
A poster showing a pig, drawn in black and white. Arching above the pig, in capital, bold, and fancy letters, is the word "Charcuterie." Below the pig, in smaller (but still fancy) letters, is the word "Mistral." These letters are decorative, with flourishes and little leaves and such.

Underneath, in differently fancy italics, is an address reading "12 Promenade Aubert Millot, Manosque, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.

The pig (we'll call him Bradthorpe the Round) has a resigned look on his face. His ears flop down, limp and without the sort of luster you'd hope for. His snout is primed for grubbing, but he simply doesn't have it today. HIs tail curves like a worm, and his trotters seem overly delicate for the heft of his pig-self. If you saw Bradthorpe on a bus, you'd assume he was on his way home from a rough day at work. And perhaps he is.

Sensors on a twin buoy out in the Atlantic Ocean send live satellite data to motors inside the museum. This makes the indoor buoy copy the exact, real-time movements of the ocean waves.

Pompeii is a UNESCO world heritage site not because it was remarkable in its prime, but because it survived to our era untouched: one moment, preserved for all time. But future generations won't know what OUR world was like unless we do the same. This is why we MUST bury Toronto with a volcano

I came up with some more inane bullshit for everyone to argue about!
(September 23, 2026 at 10:44am)
Fake opinions to argue over…
- Never turn left on a first date.
- Every kindergarten student should have an unpaid internship.
- The periodic table is too sexual.
- Bigfoot should be allowed to vote.
- Having a dream is the same as reading a book.
- You can wear a crop top to a funeral if the deceased person was hot when they died.
