was reading about botched lethal injections and it makes sense that a) medical professionals do not administer it, meaning more room for error and b) a lot of the prisoners have messed up veins from iv drug use making it hard to administer

People hated the film Promising Young Woman, I thought it was breathtaking but so many reviews were centred on the sacrificial ending and how they felt it undermined the core message. But to me, the core message was always that men's reputations are in an axiological contest with women's lives.
