Am I an extraverted person realizing that they're essentially a vampire too long cut off from their food supply, or am I just in my 40's in unprecedentedly hostile social times?

COMIC: Lost in Thought
PANEL 1: ARTHUR, a yellow duck, lays on a green grassy hill, with a blue sky with white puffy clouds in the background. FLACO, a green lizard, stands next to Arthur, looking at him.
ARTHUR: Wouldn’t this be a lovely spot to just get lost in thought?

PANEL 2: ARTHUR continues to lay, while FLACO runs out of frame. No text.

PANEL 3: FLACO returns, carrying a thought bubble, tongue out in concentration like it’s heavy. No text.

PANEL 4: FLAVO stands above FLACO, holding the thought bubble over his head, tongue out in concentration. It casts a shadow on ARTHUR’s face. ARTHUR smiles.
ARTHUR (text in the thought bubble): ahhh that’s better.

you will encounter more opportunities in life to change the batteries on a smoke alarm than you will to run into a burning building and no one gives a shit you changed those batteries but it is still very important and why are you waiting on a burning building, know what i’m saying, it’s a metaphor

To hone in on actually does make figurative sense, even if its from an incorrect usage originally. It can be seen as coming into closer fine tolerance or accuracy. But language evolves, and if I dont give folks shit for no longer having a then/than distinction or a verbal pen/pin, I'm not on this
