So... about lunch with fascists. The trick is to be able to determine where someone is at. Farmer neighbors who don't get cable or internet, who hire disabled people preferentially, who occasionally dropped 50 pounds of potatoes at my house who vote red like it's a sports team: worth talking to.

My employer with a huge service contract is literally unable to get two of our elevators repaired because there are no parts available. It's already been a month and they are projecting months or longer. This cuts off areas for handicapped (and convenience, 5 stories) in just one of our locations.

The pair in question have taken over multiple events by waiting for an opportunity. They use their status to pick and choose who to glom onto and ride their coattails and who to excommunicate. They frequently burn bridges and try to get people to turn on those they personally dislike

At a really fundamental level Leo XIV is just a person with sound, well-reasoned, moral stances on the world and how life should be lived who isn't afraid to say those things in public. Pennsylvania’s outbreak has hit 943 cases this year, 176 people hospitalized. Less than 1% of confirmed cases in fully vaccinated people.Total measles infections in US at 35-year high, with 3,659 confirmed cases in 45 states as of last week. 8 total deaths in past two years, most in 3+ decades.
