This is the definition of cruel and unusual punishment. The state of Tennessee botched an execution and tried to hide the gory consequences as witnesses twice watched a woman survival the supposedly “lethal” injection. The death penalty is a crime against humanity.

Omigod, this is the most heartwarming story possible! Backpack (bear 89) is the son of the 2019 winner of Fat Bear Week, Holly (bear 435). In 2007, he injured his foot & a practice of riding on momma's Holly's back had a new meaning: he was mobility-restricted while it healed. So Holly moved him.

An old friend of mine with older kids sent me a list of books her kids liked & wow was that a gift! Free audiobooks or physical books from the library are an incredible tool, and knowing what kids love helps so much. We’re currently loving the Dragon Masters, already loved Magic Tree House.

the horrific cornell gang rape case has me thinking about emma sulkowicz who alleged she was raped as a student at columbia in 2014 and never got any justice. it has me thinking about the physical and mental weight young women are forced to carry while their safety is subsumed by male potential.
