A short anti-AI thread: I was reminded of the proofreader who was hired for two volumes with which I was involved a few years ago. The proofreader is extremely capable & conscientious about the job, & proved immensely helpful, especially beacuse they knew a lot about the subject matter as well.

One of our year's form tutors, Mr. Burt, gave a long, one-man demonstration of his hobby of choice - morris dancing. Just him. Full gear. Backing track on CD. A-dancin' and a-prancin' and a-jinglin' in front of around 180 bemused teenagers for what felt like 10 full minutes.
