The president took on a vanity project, gave no-bid contracts to contractors who screwed it up, made up a story about vandals to cover it up, and then fomented a felony prosecution against an innocent scapegoat. You could impeach for anything he's done but "This asshole is out of control" is a layup

No one in this entire administration follows laws or court orders, so the solution cannot be more laws or more court orders. We have a bad system, where you can’t remove a lawless executive & stop his underlyings from committing crimes without using a mechanism that has <never> worked in 240 years.

When DHS shot Marimar Martinez in Chicago last October, they also claimed she tried to ram agents with her car. She survived, so they even charged her criminally. They lied. She had done no such thing, and the goon who shot her bragged about it in texts. They dropped the charges against her.

The word “monarchy” is literally rule by (“archy”) one (“mon”). Well, “unitary” means one, and in modern parlance “executive” means person in charge. Yes, there are some elements of sophistication to the legal academic version of “unitary executive theory,” but in practice it’s just been pro-king.

Put the names of all US foreign intel targets, spies, and potential recruits in a single file? And do this in the midst of the worst information security crisis in US government history? That strikes me as a bad idea. At least if one were trying to defend rather than attack the US and US interests.

Slaughter is an earthquake: SCOTUS has overturned a 90-year-old precedent that facilitated much of modern governance by granting many agencies meaningful independence from the president. Now SCOTUS crushes that independence ... for seemingly every agency except the Federal Reserve.

The notion that the president has absolute power over creations of Congress is already nuts, with no basis in law, but it reaches utterly absurd when it includes an unwritten "but not when some Supreme Court Justices feel like he's messing with the money" exception.

This is an example of what happens when an agency faithfully pursues the president's priorities. Costless for Trump, costs borne instead by the legal system clogged with frivolous cases, innocent people victimized by the govt for exercising constitutional rights, and real criminals going unpunished.
Prosecutors were ready for troublemakers.

Federal officer Dinko Residovic had spoken with the U.S. Attorney’s Office before heading out to arrest two immigrants held at a jail in Washington, D.C.

“They were, like, ‘If you need anything, let us know. Anybody interferes, assaults, let us know. Get them on camera. We’ll prosecute,’” Residovic said in a recorded conversation. “I’m, like, f—k yeah.” Listen

After he and other federal agents arrived at the jail, they spotted 44-year-old Sidney Lori Reid, who was recording them on her phone. Reid moved for a clearer view, and an agent grabbed her. He pinned Reid to a wall while a man was escorted from the jail to a government vehicle.

That is what videos later showed. But that wasn’t what Immigration and Customs Enforcement alleged after Reid’s July 22 arrest.ICE X post falsely claiming a woman assaulted federal agents
