Question for any authors who have had recent contract dealings w/ Must Read Magazines & ASIMOV’S. Have they asked you to surrender copyright of your stories to them? They want me to create new cover art & they want to own copyright of the art. Seems like a pretty outrageous rights grab.

HEY PORTLAND Jefferson High School is doing my play about RPGs and online harassment and misogynist violence in geek spaces, and I'm wildly excited to see it again onstage for the first time since Ida B. Wells High School premiered it in 2018 Hope you all can make it! I'm proud of this one

Red Sky at Morning

The illustration is of a desktop computer covered in miscellaneous nerdy stickers - a pair of crossed battle axes, a lesbian flag, a skull, lots of yellow stars, etc - with an image onscreen that looks like a chat room where messages are being exchanged, a couple text boxes and then an image where you can see a triangular red flag.

Below the image is a content warning for "some strong language and mature themes" as well as the show information:

A little Dublin slang for you: yo-yos. That's what we call euros, as in, “A head of cabbage will set you back 2 or 3 yo-yos.” Why are we telling you this? Putting together a Worldcon bid costs money! Our bid is looking for support from those in the wider SFF community who have the means to help!
A photo of Philippa sat at the Dublin fantable at Octocon. She is a white woman with chin-length blonde hair wearing glasses and a black and white patterned top with a Dublin 2029 badge pinned to her chest. The table has an Irish flag spread over it with flyers, bookmarks, badges and sweets spread over it. There is a large Dublin 2029 standing banner behind the table.

Because it was going into competition, I couldn't show results of this until it became public. Yesterday I found out it won "Best use of color" at the Big E Agricultural fair in Massachusetts, Lace division. Come by the exhibit hall to see our lace group's stuff. #BigE #SpringfieldMA #BobbinLace
A photo of the framed Medieval Peacock Milanese lace project on my work table. It is framed as a diamond shape, and it is a swirly and colorful abstract peacock drawn like one of those stoned monks did in illuminated manuscripts.

Mostly in blues, greens, yellows, golds. Silk threads.A close up of a section of the swirly lace area that includes a giant spider motif, and the outer blue tail of the peacock in other patterns.

A bit of the curly-cue antenna thing is also shown, in yellow and gold.An image focusing on the peacock head and body.

Gold curly head things, yellow beak, blue head and torso (but kind of abstract). And the little booties that absolutely cracked me up. Yellows and blues and outlined in the dark blue. The framed and hung version of the peacock on the wall. I always wanted a diamond shaped framed piece for my house.
