Possibly one of the greatest 3 panel comics of all time. Kills me everytime I see it. Get @beetlemoses.bsky.social ‘s new book, it’s pure joy end to end.
A guy next to a contraption saying “I invented a new instrument”.

He presses a key.

The final panel is a fiery explosion that burns him down to his skeleton.

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

NEW: I came across a bookseller who was afraid that a mysterious company trying to buy some of his rarest books was going to use them to train AI models. I went down the rabbithole with him, and was confused and altogether existentially weirded out by what I found www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

Ballpoint pen, copic marker, & a bit of crayon. A fully grown man is in a tree fort high above the ground. A pack of river beavers have circled the tree and are beginning to chomp. He pleads with the beavers. “Beavers,” he says. “Let’s talk. I can get you logs.” It’s doubtful that a deal will be made. These beavers have had their sights set on this tree and there’s no guarantee that this man can deliver on his log promise. Big tree fall hard. Artist’s note: I like how the leaves turned out here.

I've seen everyone sharing that US Dialect Quiz so I decided to make my own, much crappier, CANADIAN DIALECT QUIZ to guess where in Canada you're from
A flow chart I have created with multiple questions and the answers determine where you're from.

Question 1 is do you call it a hydro bill (which then branches down to ON, QC, BC, MB) or an electric bill (which then branches down to SK, AB, NS, NB, PEI, NL)

Question 2 is do you call it a cabin (BC, MB, AB, SK) cottage (ON and atlantic) camp (northern Ontario) chalet (QC) or bungalow (Cape Breton)

To delineate BC from MB: do you call it dinner or supper

To delineate southern Ontario rural or big city: have you heard of a stag & doe

To delineate SK from AB: do you call a hoodie a bunnyhug

And finally to delineate NL from the other atlantic provinces: whaddayat? (Correct answer: dis is it b'y)

He is rationalizing being underwater by saying some of the loss (not all) is because he took some money out for the car. His loss is much, much larger than the car
Popular 1966 models and their prices

To illustrate the price range, consider these popular models and their approximate base prices in 1966:
Ford Mustang: around $2415

Chevrolet Impala Cohen around $2700

Volkswagen beetle: around $1600

Cadillac Deville: around $5600

Pontiac GTO: around $2800

Chevrolet Corvette: around $4100

They disinvented the VCR. You might think that the reason we don't have VCRs anymore is because VCRs were supplanted by DVDs, PVRs and streaming, but that's not the case. They had it in for the VCR from the very start, and they never stopped trying to kill it. Eventually, they succeeded. 1/
A 1960s family living room in which a mom, dad and two kids are mesmerized by a cabinet-style TV. The image has been altered. The TV has an early 1990s VCR atop it. The TV screen is displaying a cross-sectioned human head with brains and spine on display. A huge fist has materialized in the room, with bloody spiked knuckle-dusters, smashing into the VCR. The oil painting over the sofa has been replaced with a pulp image of a male head, its cranium removed and replaced by a dome. Inside the dome is a red eight-segment VCR clock, displaying 12:00. The background in the painting is a tangle of cassette tape. The whole image's colors have been boosted, giving it an overexposed look.
