It’s the 50th anniversary today of the debut of The Muppet Show. One curious theme running through the recent J. Reitman movie about the launch of SNL was the contempt the film had for Jim Henson, who was aboard the first season and who is depicted in the film as a Hippie Artiste (derogatory)
