Known as Imperial no Taka: Fighter of Zero in Japan, Iron Aces is a WWII-themed Flight-Sim about an aerial conflict over some fictional Pacific Islands. It received mixed reviews, with most reviewers agreeing that it's kinda mid.

Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou (ch.28, from v.2, pg.68), by Hitoshi Ashinano.
"I can see the Funabashi ski slope. The fuel gauge already says E." A panel from Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, by Hitoshi Ashinano, from the cockpit of an experimental watercraft. The pilot's hands are on a motorcycle-style handlebar, with a series of gauges of unclear function. The craft is traveling at high speed (stated to be over 600 km/h in another panel).

Though Atari's marketing for the Jaguar was all buster, most haven't seen the best looking 3D game on the console as it came out 4 years after its death. Check out Skyhammer, by Rebellion.

Assorted cockpit views from the demoscene production, TiTAN Overdrive 2 (first-place winner at Revision 2017). www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWVm...
A view from the "bridge" of an unseen spacecraft, with a panoramic view of space outside. Inside, we see three display panels; the two on either side appear to be powered off, but the center one is currently playing Pong. A game console (a Super Nintendo-ish shape) sits on that. On the left, a watermelon with an end sliced off, wearing a pair of headphones. On the right, a single slice of watermelon just sits there. The robot protagonist of the piece sitting in the cockpit of a scout craft. Her interface is a pair of joysticks, and there is a pair of fuzzy dice hanging from one of the canopy struts.Towards the end of the production, the scout craft takes off, in first-person 3D. Three display panels below the canopy display indistinct text readings; the canopy itself has a holographic heads-up display projected across multiple panes of glass.

1943: The Battle of Midway (1987, Capcom), one of my favorite couplings of control panel and monitor bezel artwork. Photo src: www.pixelatedarcade.com/pictures/14671
Photograph of a cabinet of 1943: The Battle of Midway (1987, Capcom). The monitor bezel is painted to resemble the interior of a fighter plane in the middle of combat over the Pacific, with scenery including plenty of exploding Zero fighters. The canopy reinforcement struts surround the rectangular monitor cut-out; game instructions are printed in the side panels, and some decorative instruments are painted below the screen. The bezel artwork flows into the control panel, which has the appearance of riveted metal.

The Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT) through the ages. Credits and further info in the alt text.
Screenshot of Knight RIder (Commodore 64, 1986, Ocean Software) from MobyGames contributor Riemann80. In the driver's seat of KITT, on an open road, we are presented with Knight Industries' distinctive steering yoke, and dashboard indicators for speed, car damage, skuds(?), score, and the current time.Screenshot of Knight Rider (NES, 1988, Acclaim / Pack-In Video) from MobyGames contributor Shoddyan. The steering yoke is not visible here, but the extremely complex dashboard is; a digital speedometer with a curved-bar tachometer, "S" and "G" meters, a crude radar display, the currently selected weapon, a timer, and a score display. Also of note is KITT's distinctive "scanner" light, presently pointed to the right of center.Screenshot of Knight Rider 2: The Game (Windows, 2004, Davilex Games) from MobyGames contributor Sciere. KITT's dashboard has been simplified significantly, now bearing only a small cluster of lights above the steering yoke, curved-bar tachometer, and 7-segment display speedometer. It is still impressive to see them attempt to replicate it in 3D, though.Promotional screenshot of Planet Coaster: Knight Rider KITT Construction Kit (Windows, 2017, Frontier Developments), from the official Steam page via MobyGames. We are in the driver's seat of KITT as it is in the middle of a spectacular mid-air pyrotechnic stunt. The dashboard is back to having as many light-up sections as physically possible, and for the first time, we can see the Knight Industries logo set into the right side of the steering yoke.

G-Police (PC) (1997) 1/4
The three towering mega-skyscrapers serve as the titular Government Police's HQ on Jupiter's moon Callisto in the year 2097 (the same year as One Must Fall and Wipeout XL!), with our hero, Slater, a war veteran joins the G-Police to conduct his own investigation into his sister's death, flying a cool futuristic VTOL hovercraft like a helicopter without the rotors, dealing with street gangs, defending and then fighting against corporations and subverting nefarious plots for dystopian dominance in a city shielded by hexagonal force-fields and full of flying and driving vehicles with an awesome aesthetic.Flying the 'copter very low to street level just to look at a cool red bike heavily inspired by Akira with its driver in a black suit and wearing a red helmet, his sides actually made out of a flat texture of his profile covering the central robotic box.

A couple of other cars pass by the opposite way, one of them being a yellow hover-taxi with a red ad for Diesel jeans.A cockpit view of Slater chasing and subsequently blowing up a perp in a magnificently bright explosion, filling the screen with a warm orange glow.Slater going to the city outskirts into the poopy-brown wilderness of Callisto with lots of highways and industrial buildings, chasing after a mysterious guided missile aimed at one of the corpo's installations and trying to blow it up before it hits its target.

POV: You are an interdimensional alien warlord. You destroy an entire planet and its inhabitants then slip back into your own dimension, where you think you’ll be safe from consequences. But no. One man will make you pay for your crimes.
9 panel comic
Panel 1:
The view from the cockpit of a spacecraft. Two green alien hands grip the controls. A planet can be seen in front of the ship.

Panel 2:
One of the alien hands move to the left and presses a red button. Two laser beams fire from the ship directing into the centre of the planet below.

Panel 3:
The planet begins to rupture under the force of the lasers.

Panel 4:
The planet completely explodes. The ship and the pilot are bathed in a blood-red glow.

Panels 5, 6, and 7:
The alien pilot turns the ship 180 degrees so he is facing empty space and the dying planet is behind him.

Panels 8 and 9:
The alien presses a green button and the space craft accelerates to warp speed. A dimensional rift opens in the distance. The viewing window fills with white light.9 panel comic
Panel 1:
The alien space craft is travelling through a dimensional rift and is surrounded by white light.

Panel 2:
The ship comes out of warp drive. Through the viewing window we now see a reddish purple planet with rings around it. The alien’s home world.

Panels 3 and 4:
The space craft draws nearer to the planet.

Panels 5 and 6:
The craft drops down through the planets atmosphere. Through the dust of the rings and past the clouds.

Panels 7, 8, and 9:
The planet’s surface is revealed. It is jagged and harsh with a poisonous looking lake cutting through the landscape. The ship touches down, kicking up a cloud of dust.8 panel comic
Panel 1:
We look down at the alien’s body as he removes his seat belt.

Panels 2 and 3:
The alien gets up and makes his way towards the large circular door at the back of the ship.

Panels 4 and 5:
The alien releases the door mechanism. He is home. He has destroyed an entire planet and population and he will face no consequences. Or so he thinks. Unfortunately for him, the door to his ship opens to reveal…

Panel 6:
Lieutenant Columbo standing on the planet’s surface.
The detective is looking at a small black rift hovering in the air in front of him.
He addresses the alien directly and says “Sir, is this a window into an endless void?”

Panel 7:
Columbo takes a closer look at the rift and continues, “Mrs Columbo wants one of these things”

Panel 8:
Tossing up his hands in mock exasperation, he adds “I said to her, why do you wanna stare into an abyss? We gotta tv!”

Screenshot of Silent Service (Atari 8-bit, 1985, MicroProse) from MobyGames user LepricahnsGold. Looking down periscope at a distant naval target; bearing, range, speed, angle, and course are simply written beneath the view. Sonar reports distant explosions.Screenshot of Silent Service 2 (DOS, 1990, MicroProse) from MobyGames user Dietmar Uschkoreit. A view down periscope; the handles (and surrounding submarine interior) are visible around the eyepiece, and the numerical values are displayed as a series of mechanical rollers. In front of us appears to be a cargo freighter or aircraft carrier.Screenshot of Aces of the Deep (DOS, 1994, Dynamix) from MobyGames user Neville. A view down periscope at night; unlike Silent Service, this one is only monocular, with bearing displayed inside the lens, which seems logically intuitive. The horizon appears clear.Screenshot of Silent Hunter (DOS, 1996, Strategic Simulations Inc.) from MobyGames user JimmyA. A view through a monocular periscope at dusk; bearing is visible in the column above the lens, while indicators of depth, velocity, course, and the current speed order are visible as analog dials on either side. There is a battleship in our sights.

While sifting through Discmaster, I discovered that dexvert understands Need for Speed 3's .VIV data files and internal graphics. And in so doing, I found that all of NFS3's dashboards are fully drawn beneath the wheel, with visible steering columns that the wheel bitmap is drawn over in-game.
Screenshot of Need for Speed 3, from MobyGames user Trixter. We are in the driver's seat of a Lamborghini Diablo SV; everything on the dashboard is wrapped in an almost denim-like leather, and the steering wheel is cranked halfway to the left to avoid the Corvette that is about to be a problem. The raw dashboard bitmap from GameData/CarModel/Diab/car.viv/dash.qfs; without the steering wheel bitmap being drawn over it, the dashboard actually includes a fully drawn bare steering column.
