More than bad piss-coloured art, the most common trait among AI-heavy indie games I see thrown my way is incredibly bland UIs. Just walls of boxes and sliders without graphics, just slightly different colors and plain text.
It's obviously not a foolproof metric but 'UI design by AI' is a thing.
