The careful language in the report is understating the issue. This govt has taken purposeful steps to deepen our health inequities and remove as many remedial options as they can. It's the same colonial violence enacted across the centuries, with the same intent - erasure.

Reading "Dirty Work" and reflecting on the terrible damage the TPU has done to race relations in this country. I could see it at the time the racist misinformation was everywhere and so many fell for it and are still brainwashed by it. I hope this book wakes a few people up #nzpol

Stanford can reject all she wants but that doesn't make HER version true. I was a nobody and absolutely was told multiple times by my manager and higher up from visiting officials to avoid noting down things so that discussions/ideas/decisions couldn't be OIAble. I was new so was shocked

This is just disgusting: an assault on how the kāwanatanga should be meeting its obligations under the Tiriti being pushed through using urgency. Opposition parties should make clear they will require a supermajority for urgency in future.

I don't know how we make it happen, but the abuse of urgency under this term of government has been so nakedly damaging to our democratic infrastructure, that it's the strongest argument for constitutional change I've seen in a while.

Podiatry NZ conference invited me to speak. Podiatrists are a critical prevention focused workforce: underfunded, underrecognised. Podiatry is a health science. Evidence informed. Properly funded Podiatry reduces hospital admissions, reduces complications from diabetes including amputations.

Urgh^2. Minister is plain wrong in saying that Constitution Act is not an appropriate place for statement of official language, because Act deals with main constitutional provisions. It’s commonplace around the world to specify official languages in such Acts.
