Tika was formed by barrister Zoë Lawton and investigative journalist Alison Mau. Frustrated by statistics that only 10% of survivors ever report, they identified a tech-led, collective action model as the best way to break systemic barriers, and support survivors as they seek justice.

Interesting piece although we wouldn't use the "no amount" hyperbole: good SM regulation can meaningfully assist with reducing misogyny - but yes, Tiriti-led, inclusive Relationships & Sexuality Education is also absolutely vital. Aotearoa NZ currently lacking both.

'Council’s GM building consents says other than a bylaw about abandoned buildings, no law dictates how much security a building that’s open to the public needs to have. General safety and security within the building is the owner’s responsibility. That has caused real issues for Florence.' #nzpol 😪

Me, literally crocheting while teaching a surgical course- yes. Because neurophysiology tells us that repetitive low-cognitive movements *increase* attention. Hence why we instinctively fidget. Knitting fulfils the same function as doodling, pen tapping, leg jiggling etc but makes nicer things. 🤗🧶
