I used to carpool to rugby, or otherwise take the bus, and it took 70 minutes each way because I live in the NW and Practice was in the SE. It would've taken 45 minutes if the first bus left 2 minutes earlier so I could make the transfer but alas. I enjoyed the ride. Listened to music, read books.

Last night I played video games until 4:00 AM. I don't think I've done that in like 3 years. I'm struggling today (got up at regular time so I don't throw off my sleep schedule too bad) but I have zero regrets. Feels so good to get that engrossed in something.

As someone who cobbles together exactly this sort of stuff for a living, I think this is right. A year from now, my guess is that about 30% of what I do will be developed using AI and I will get literally months of additional time back to do more proactive work.
