A couple of days ago, Australia post started a promo with HBO for the Harry Potter TV series. It you noticed the app logo changed to incorporate an owl, that's why. A bunch of people sent in complaints about the association with that revolting TERF JK Rowling. Today they replied. Partnership ended!

I always took it as a point of pride with how my transition was going that one day people just stopped listening to me in meetings and when yearly promotions came due my pay bump was 30% my male colleague, even though we both went from Mid to Senior roles 😀👍

Something I really love about the X-Files is that it has to be spooky and compensate for reasonably priced special effects, so a lot has to be shot in the dark of night. But SO MUCH of it happens at night that it starts to feel like Mulder’s running an elaborate overtime scam against the FBI.

Two overlaid grid patterns are slightly misaligned. The resulting pattern of different visual densities forms curved patterns which are very sensitive to small changes in alignment.
