Looking like we got a best possible case scenario at work. I was gonna leave and move to Poland to become an indie game dev, but it looks like they're doing buyouts in a few months. So I can get bought out and move to Poland for game dev, but still get paid for 33 more weeks + insurance for a year.

Sure it cost like 900 dollars, but y'all it feels so nice to have a new GPU. I streamed for 2.5 hours with my IDE AND a browser open AND the game running? And it didn't crash? I can just open anything any time without fear of my computer crashing? I don't have to save every time I type anything?

I think the biggest thing we lost from pre internet times is the concept that sometimes you have to actually look for stuff and it's not all placed immediately in front of your face. All that stuff you want is there, you just have to spend five minutes looking.

The biggest advantage of having me program something instead of AI is that my code will be filled with the number 69 as much as is reasonably possible. Oh and by the way time to code on stream. New graphics card so maybe after five years my PC will stop crashing. On stream doing game dev NOW.

I saw someone use the phrase "polished to an absolute sheen" about a game and I'm like wow that sounds off-putting to me. Things with a sheen tend to not look good. It's like when people take an antique that's full of grit and character and "restore" it into something that looks shiny and terrible.
