The National Archives' branches are hugely important for the legal community. The most important reason is that they serve as the archives for US district and circuit courts. Sometimes, the only way you can get copies of original case filings is from regional archives b/c not everything is on PACER.

One of the best classes I had as an undergrad was one on African geography. It was just meant to be kind of a way to get 2 quick credits but I learned SO much in that class that’s still helpful decades later.

I think about this quote every single day and I think about how much potential we, as humans and as a country, have lost because of hate. Our Constitution and institutions would be so much stronger right now if they were also built with Natives, Black people, and women as equals.
