I did get one of them to admit she wasn't actually ok with legal immigration. Though she didn't cop to having been full of shit explicitly, the accusation was basically left uncontested.

Also isn't it technically impossible to immigrate legally? As you need to cross the border before you can start the process? The focus on so called 'illegal' immigration always seemed bogus to me.

Also as we're currently seeing in Poland with Ukrainians, people can do everything 'right' during the process itself and then if they start living successful and happy lives, the right will still stir up hate about them because now they're 'taking jobs.'
