Easily one of the most spectacular natural events I’ve ever seen: an endless river of Sooty Shearwaters along the Washington coast. These ocean-dwelling birds migrate 40,000 miles each year, foraging in massive flocks. This went nonstop for at least an hour. Best estimate is 100,000 birds.

It's 2026 and academia is having a debate about whether racists should be allowed to conduct their racist, discredited resarch in universities. Yes, the actual basis is breach of contract by pursuing different research to that he was hired to do but it is what the debate has become about.
