Progress on my game mod is going well, still just untangling the code from the original scripter (who was really sloppy), but each big progress jump makes me dread turning this into a fully fledged game. Not looking forward to learning how to use Blender or Unreal.

Didn't get to finish my round of golf, but I did at least make my longest ever putt (~60 feet, from off the green) to save par on one of the holes, and ALMOST flushed a chip shot on the next hole (it bounced over the cup!!). Also, WOW the course was beautiful today.

View from the top of the 3rd hole at Jay Peak Golf Course today. The course slopes downhill, over a ravine into a hole tucked into a corner made by some trees. There's a hill rising behind the green, so you can see it in the background too.

The sky overhead is clear blue, with barely any clouds, and the autumn light makes it seem like golden hour even though this is 3 in the afternoon. But the standout part is the trees. This is early October in Vermont, so there are trees of every different color all over. Green, red, yellow, and orange as far as the eye can see. Truly the most amazing time to be in this state.

View up the fairway of the 4th hole at Jay Peak Golf Course. Like the last hole, this one is lined by autumn trees, but this is a longer hole, that turns right over a slight rise 250 yards out and between 2 tall, lone trees (maybe both pines?). The near trees are adding a little shade, but otherwise it's still golden hour and the sky is still crystal clear.

View up the green for my putt. I've already made it, so the ball isn't visible, but the pin is in the middle of the green, which is about 40 yards long. According to my shot tracker, the putt was 20 yards. It's definitely later, around 4:30, so the light is coming in lower, more like true golden hour.

My roommates' cats, Chunk (a brown/gray tabby) and Mr. Biscuits (an orange and white cat) are both curled up and sleeping next to each other on my bed. Chunk has his paws tucked under his chin, Mr. Biscuits has his paws over his face. They're both perfect.
