Managed to hunt down two photos of the kitbashed model built by Jim Bowers as reference for the original WipEout game, sometime around 1993 or 1994. You can see the logos on it are harvested from other kits- Toyota and Buick logos, USAF roundels, and more that I'm sure someone else could ID

I didn't hear anything about this incident but wow this is fucking horrible. I increasingly feel like being able to publicly share our immediate reaction so easily is not good for us. That dopamine hit of self-righteousness seems to override critical thought, empathy, everything.
