Earlier this week, I agreed to interviews with two USA Today journalists. They wrote fantastic articles about the Cornell case that I'm proud to have been a part of. What I did not know is that their employer considers interviews to proprietary and opens up recordings to be used by any journalist.

Upside: Voting in California is really easy. Downside: We are asked to vote on far too many things, an absurd number of things, all of which are confusingly presented on purpose. Our State Representatives are basically mascots since voters do everything themselves.

Anyone who, in 2026, is already saying “I don’t want to vote for Newsom but I will” is part of the problem. This man is a fucking monster and has betrayed everyone imaginable. He is unacceptable in every possible way. There is no world in which this piece of shit should be trusted with power.

If you don’t know who Simon of Trent is- that’s fine and frankly I wish we lived in a world where only medievalists did- go ahead and just read this page and fix some names in your head. When you see them in discourse, that should raise some flags. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_l...

INTRODUCTION

The equities here could not be more one-sided. Defendants admit that they
provide a service without fully knowing how it works.

This is not just any service. It is one that Defendants themselves concede poses an existential risk to the continued
survival of humankind.

Defendants claim they cannot stop barreling forward with their potentially civilization-ending endeavors unless they are forced to do so by the
government. They have asked the government to tie them to the mast.

Plaintiff brings good news to the Defendants: The Florida Attorney General is answering your
cry for help with a motion to enjoin you from harming Floridians with your reckless, unacceptably risky product.

I think it’s an oversimplification and makes being gay into a punchline, mostly, but I can’t deny that there are definitely some closeted men in that world. And unfortunately, a lot of self-hating right-wing gay men have done terrible damage to this world. Roy Cohn, Peter Thiel, Sam Altman… ugh.

Andy Beshear has an entire chapter in his new book about backing the LGBTQ community and it's worth a read. He talks about how the anti-trans ads were tested in KY during his election and how vetoing anti-trans legislation didn't hurt his reelection campaign.
However the anti-trans ads had less to do with Kentucky and more to do with the fact that we were in an election. Terry Schilling, the head of the APP, decided to test the ads in our election to determine whether or not the issue could win votes for the Republican Party. Earlier in the summer of 2019, Scholling had partnered with a behavioral science firm to try to find a wedge issue that resonated with suburban voters. That's right. The anti-trans ads did not come out of some firmly held conviction but was a purely political stance. Their research landed on trans athletes, specifically trans women, competing in women's sports. They tested their theory in the 2019 Kentucky gubernatorial general election. Although I won, APP considered their test successful, because their research showed the ads delivered thirteen thousand votes for Trump Lite, which made the race tighter than anticipated. You might hask how, in this political climate, I was reelected after vetoing the anti-trans bill. Because people respect authentic faith. The day I vetoed it, I explained my why. I said I believe all children are children of God and that I don't want people picking on these kids. I then countered their anti-trans ads with commercials talking about good jobs, healthcare, roads and bridges, public education, and public safety. The result? The biggest win of my career. So don't tell me the Democratic Party should stop fighting for the rights of all people. Just explain your authentic why, and then get back to focusing on issues that touch all our lives on a daily basis.

My college is discontinuing a program where students get free access to Coursera and their solution for any students currently using Coursera who need tech support is "we can't help you, ask ChatGPT"
Please note that we will not be able to provide you with individualized support should you run into any problems with this process. We recommend that you use the following self-support resources:

- Coursera Learner Help Center
- Use Coursera Chat or the Contact Form
- Use AI to troubleshoot your issue and provide recommendations (Note that all active SJSU students have access to ChatGPT)

Thank you.

I'm a single-issue voter. I don't think women should vote. I don't think men should vote, either. I think only children should vote. Adults are too busy to vote, and children have lots of free time. When pressed for details, I get frustrated and yell, "I'm too busy for this!"

digital drawing of Kira Nerys and Jadzia Dax from Star Trek DS9, sitting next to each other. They are older, in their sixties, their hair is gray. Kira sits on the left in a white tank top and her red uniform pants. She is leaning back and smiling at jadzia. Jadzia is on the right, wearing her uniform with the sleeves bunched up. She is smiling and has one hand in Kira’s hair.

Newsom, like Cuomo, is a special kind of blue state jackass who'd be a Republican if he lived in a red state. There's no path to power for him as a Republican in California, so he's cosplaying as a Democrat and corrupting the party as a result. Remember: he loves billionaires and hates you and me.

Republicans know that too, but they also know this is something they can make Dems flinch and equivocate about, which makes them look overall weak and indecisive. They did it with immigration last cycle, they did it with gay marriage 20 years ago. The only way to win is to tell them to eat shit
