The first big exhibition of comics in the UK began at London’s ICA in Dec 1970. It was discussed not just in comics fanzines & the undergrounds, but in the “quality” press like The Guardian & The Times. I’ve seen few pics of it, so I was chuffed to find these Henry Grant photos at the London Museum.

Wrong, all legal chess positions are ~40 oom less than the estimated atoms in the Universe. And ASI will figure out ways to solve and compress that are far beyond what we could possibly comprehend.

He genuinely could not have messed this stunt up more than he has. Absolutely no upsides for Farage from calling a by election
09:14

BREAKING

Parliamentary investigation into Farage resumes

Paul Seddon

Politics reporter

Farage's decision last month to trigger the by-election paused the parliamentary investigation into whether he should have declared £5m he previously received from a party donor upon his election as an MP in 2024.

Farage has argued that the sum did not require declaration, as it was given to him as a personal gift.

This morning, the website of Parliament's standards commissioner has been updated to confirm that the probe is no longer suspended.

However, the timings for what happens next is unclear. Parliament is not due to return from its summer recess until next month.

MPs under investigation typically have to respond to written questions from the commissioner, and can be asked to attend a formal interview.

I got this message from a mum of a boy who loves comics, on the same day I got a message from a dad who’s very ill son had his life transformed by reading comics. This stigma about comics really has to stop. It’s detrimental to children just as they’re learning how to express themselves.
Unfortunately, he has been told not to read or make comics because
"you can't learn anything from them" which annoyed him so much
