Our culture has such a reliance on art, mixed with so much disdain for artists' lives. Someone throws soup at a painting in a gallery or whatever and everyone acts like it's a literal murder, but that level of sympathy is for the object, almost never for the living conditions of artists.

Reminder since bird flu is still a thing: Do not give your pets (especially cats) raw or freeze fried food or treats with chicken in it. Freeze drying doesn't kill the virus, and several cats died from eating raw chicken that was infected with bird flu.
