Such a tangent, and I don't even know this guy, but like. The obsession with starting kids in sports at such young ages with the idea that they will be Greats is very toxic. It makes it hard to find activities for kids who *didn't* start at 3. 8th grade should not be "late" to start a sport.

One thing I end up going back to over and over again is: while the criminal justice system could do so much better in protecting rights, the only thing that can adequately address a pervasive problem like this is social/cultural change. Rape arises from and reasserts rape culture/patriarchy.
