#knitsky I need to find a hat pattern with ear flaps and a hole to accomodate a braid (this is going to be worn under a bike helmet so the Andean-style hats which tie under the chin aren’t the best). Any suggestions?

Dear yarn lovers. I have been looking for a linen/silk, lace, sock, or DK weight yarn that is only linen & silk, no wool, mohair, alpaca, cotton, etc. I have searched Ravelry and online. Why is it this hard to find? Please help! #KnitSky #Yarn #Linen #Silk #Knitter #Knits

If I am doing a pfb with an eastern mount in knitting, I reverse it as compared to the western purl, yes? For the western purl front and back, it's telling you to purl into the leading leg, then the following leg. With an eastern mount, it's the reverse? So it's a pbf, purl back and front. 🧶

What tips & tricks do you have for managing multiple yarns for intarsia? This sweater has 10 blocks per round, normally two of each color, 9g per color block. I think it's too much yarn for tidy butterflies but will 10 bobbins be too heavy? 🧶 #knitting #intarsia #colorwork #sweater

A #knittinghistory or #fashionhistory question. Can anyone tell me when Shetland yoked sweaters like the one in the picture were first exported to the US. I am assuming it is late 1940s into the 1950s (based on when hand-knitting patterns appear), but would welcome any information. #knitting 🧶
