Current state of the map. Took ages to get all of the photos into one file. Currently 78 panels. Only 34 of them are fully colored in.

A pieced together full view of a colorful map comprised of 78 8.5" by 5.5" painted cardstock panels. The map largely consists of strings of color twisting and colliding with one another as they sprawl out from the center.

Editing the project file takes ages when updating any significant number of panels.

There are lots of reasons to make art, but I find that for me love and anger are the most compelling. Making a thing out of love is when I am the most joyful & inventive. Making a thing out of anger scrapes my insides but gets a lot of it out, which is healing & cathartic but painful in the moment.

I heard that people used to do weird ad campaigns on Royal Road where they'd post art of a cute girl from their story with the text "meet me in chapter X" or similar. Sad stuff, obviously, but I think I can improve on the concept
