Current state of the map. Took ages to get all of the photos into one file. Currently 78 panels. Only 34 of them are fully colored in.

A pieced together full view of a colorful map comprised of 78 8.5" by 5.5" painted cardstock panels. The map largely consists of strings of color twisting and colliding with one another as they sprawl out from the center.

Editing the project file takes ages when updating any significant number of panels.

Another ~15 days of working on the map. Just hit 50 panels

The map, now a roughly ovular shape with a slight skew on the bottom left side. The edges of the map show a lot of white space yet to be filled, and many of the panels in the require some fixing up so that they properly connect with their neighbors.

My custom deck of hand painted instruction cards. The top row of 8 cards is separated from the rest of them to indicate that they have been placed in the second deck of cards. The remaining 28 cards are arranged in an oval grid, and are the cards that I've currently been using to generate the map. Eventually I'll add a "swap to other deck".

Won't be able to work on my map for a couple weeks, so here's a new progress pic.

A gridded layout of painted cardstock half sheets detailing a colorful map. It has about doubled in size, but much of the new sections are not fully painted yet.

25 hand-painted cards detailing specific instructions for creating the map are laid in a grid on top of a section of the map in the other photo. Many of the the cards from the previous week's photo have new details added to them.

Current state of my map and the deck used to build it.

21 playing cards with custom painted faces are laid out on a table. Each card has a specific instruction for how to modify the map. The artwork is amateurish, but enthusiastic.

Stavos, a haunting man who has taken residence on the Jack of Spades card, stares menacingly from the bottom of the photo.

A map comprised of 15 hand-painted cardstock half sheets is laid out in a gridded fashion, forming an irregular shape. Some panels contain sparse collages of 1" squares. Some contain small roadmaps for fictitious cities. Several panels are not yet fully painted.
