Yes uncertified batteries are a problem and the certification extends to the chargers. UL certified chargers are smart chargers that automatically shut off when they detect battery temps rising above certain thresholds or too quickly. The lack of regulation all around seems intentional

Sutcliffe's infrastructure plan is so much smoke & mirrors as he is handcuffed by his 2.5% tax cap. He expects to finance some of this through $250 million from "savings" but doesn't tell us what is to be cut. Add on his bus pass cut, his 350 new first responders - clearly magic is in the air here.

My mother-in-law, who hadn't been on a bicycle since the 1980s, visited us last year and we biked to toddler swimming class together. She's now biking 40 minutes to work everyday in Montreal because she has a separated bike lane the whole way there.

An hour with 4 transfers…I'm sure everything will work perfectly and you won't miss your flight. I used to take the ~30 minute run on the 97 from Tunney's Pasture to and from the airport to for years without any major issues and now it requires 3 transfers to three different trains.

It took until 1962 for the City of Ottawa to allow all renters to vote in municipal elections. Before that, those living with roommates or in boarding houses couldn't vote. This changed after a referendum (passed 49,776 to 20,262—though renters barred from voting at the time couldn't participate).
