Hey @octranspo.com If you want the Rideau connections to feel safe, you need to start by deep cleaning Rideau A. The sticky tape residue on the glass has been unchanged for weeks. It needs hiding down too. L today R Sept 18

@brigittepellerin.bsky.social I hadn't really heard of this mayor candidate but he has more signs than Sutcliffe and Leiper by this polling place in Orléans. (On other side of road.) I saw no Lawson or Saravanamuttoo signs.
Amjad Syed for mayor in foreground. Ward 1 candidate in middle. Sutcliffe for mayor sign in distance. The Sutcliffe sign is a typical lawn sign not a larger size.

Someday that "technically proficient in French" designation from the early 90s might mean something. But at least I've learned to relax my throat when mangling new words.
Duolingo blasts off. French score 100 I can watch a TV show in French.

Ottawa has a lot of great mural artists. This new art in Rideau station's William St elevators is very mid. I don't see a signature. I wonder if it has the sealant mandated by murals funded through the city's Paint It Up program which makes graffiti removal possible. Perhaps wall needs to weep.
This postcard style artwork pulls local icons into a collage. I'm not an art expert but it feels like a grade school level of artistry. This is a curved wall so it creates some challenges.

Hey @helps.octranspo.com Can the team update this sign? Stop G is in use but missing from the directional sign. Blair on bridge opposite fare gates
Sign in Blair Station helping people understand: 1 they need to turn back and go down one level for train; 2 or they need to turn back and down 2 levels for bus platforms A to D; or 3 they need to go over the bridge then down for Stop H and I. Stop G is not on the sign.

This is the new vending machine at Parliament station. Since the mezzanine level is divided, if you don't see it inside your fare gate area, exit and enter other Mezzanine through other fare gates.
A basic but modern vending machine. Quite pricey and likely it really only wants payment by tap.

Hey @helps.octranspo.com the east platform plasma screen at Blair is failing. Can this be addressed as part of pre trial prep work please? (Not the main double screen on the west platform.)
Plasma screen of bus departures times. The screen alternates every 10 sec between clear screen and screen faded with lines blacked out.

Hey @en.ottawa.ca the Teranet tool is down. I can't select the address (which is in the drop down list) to complete the service request. For service location, pin is invisible and incorrect. For my address, it performs lookup then leaves the field blank.
The search tool admits it can find an exact match. The match is the only hit in the drop down list. The map is not loaded so location pin is not visible.Scrolling down below the invisible map, it states a different but nearby address is selected. Previously, it dropped the invisible pin in Centretown, not Orleans.

Hey @octranspo.com, can your team look at how escalator outages are announced to third party apps? Today's Rideau elevator outage marks every line 1 trip has limited barrier free access. The outage should be assigned to the station, not the line.

The nightly Lincoln Fields detour is inserted between paragraphs about NCC Bike day detours. That's just confusing. I'm not entirely sure that is NCC Bike days 2026 info. I'm sure there are more problems if I knew the status of all road works. 3/
Full text: Routes: 57, 61, 62, 63, 74, 75, 87

Is the Limeback detour info on many routes still current? The effective date is August 18th, 2025. The second line says the road will reopen Thursday Dec 18th. Dec 18 fell on Thursday in 2025. It's a Friday in 2026. If it is valid, is a multi year long change a detour or 2 reconfigurations? 2/
Very complicated alert message for 8 routes which seem to have different detours for entering / exiting Limebank station.

However the date says the detours starts Aug 2025 and ends in Dec. It doesn't say which December but it seems to refer to December 2025.

Something something coding your website to be automatically current is a best practice. Alternative wording @helps.octranspo.com "Most recent service change was Sunday, June 28. Next major service change is Sunday August 23."
OCT's website displays this message on each route info page: "The next service change is on Sunday, June 28".

Several main thoughts: * Not all these @octranspo.com route alerts are meaningful * 45 alerts includes minor construction * 8 is not equal to 11 (especially when two are the same station) * Why is Aéroport on English page? * Where is the more button? * Why not list the stations alphabetically?
Screen of OCT's English alerts page at 3 am July 12 2026.
Key details routes tab indicates there are 45 routes with an alert. The Station tab is selected. It says there are 11 stations with alerts. They are: Mackenzie King, Westboro, Baseline, Blair, Place d'Orléans, Trim, Airport and Aéroport. Yes, this is not a list of 11 stations.

It took one week to get the concrete poured. It was a second week until the asphalt was laid. Another week before the pylons are removed? Another week after that until OCT moves the stop back to shelter and bench?
Photo of brilliantly white new concrete, new soil on inner edge of didewalk and black asphalt gutter. 3 large pylon remain on roadway. Another 3 pylons are on grass side of sidewalk. Sidewalk is open for use.

Thankfully, this bus shelter does have a gap at the roofline to let hot air escape. (Some models don't.) The roof panel arches 20 cm beyond the front wall which stops 15 cm below the roof. This design keeps snow and rain out but helps with summer heat.

Hey @octranspo.com why is route 30 consistently missing from both Blair plasma screens? It isn't a rush hour only extended trip. Also the data you are feeding to 3rd parties has the after 9 pm stops at wrong platform. Every schedule change these errors are added back in. Errors on 42, 38 too
A nearly dead plasma screen at Blair is orange rather than white. Multiple night buses are missing from plasma screen at night stop. Train platform plasma screen is also missing several routes. 30, 38 and 42 are still running. There may be others missing.Screen from Transit App shows platform and departure times from data OCTranspo supplies. It shows the 30 as running but has wrong platform listed.

They are actually repairing the two worst sidewalk potholes near my house. They have removed the remaining concrete and are setting up frames so it appears concrete is coming. Both are gutter drain related. Zero pedestrian plan during the work.

The difference in supervising 4 year old cats outside and 4 year old kids is noise. The cats have to be visually monitored. You can't just listen to happy play time. Kids are easier.

I notice with regret that @octranspo.com's major renovation of the St Laurent bus platform has not eliminated dripping into LRT platform during heavy rain events. It's less. You may remember that the concrete roof had a spalling problem 2 summer ago. L - mezzanine, R - LRT platform.
Photo of ceiling at EB end of St Laurent pedestrian bridge level. The electrical conducts attached to the ceiling have previously been wrapped in a waterproof membrane. It's hard to see but rain water is dripping through.A large puddle lies just within the fare gates on the EB platform. The metal square in the puddle is a floor grate. No water is moving through the grate. The rainwater is falling from the ceiling along the outer wall and draining across the floor into the pedestrian area.
