Love the legalese bunkum. Apparently, attaching something to someone else's property, without permission, means they can't take it off or it's theft/criminal damage. It would be terrible if someone, who knows where this prick parks, filled his windscreen with RNLI stickers, to test the principle.

Why have we reached a stage where people call in to @natashadevon.bsky.social and say they want people to drown? Well headlines like this don’t help. Let’s forget that numbers are way down on years previous and just keep stoking fear and division. This is why the RNLI is under attack.

will say it again: the most effective way to curb far right agitators like Lowe, "Tommo" et. al. would be to stop their ability to earn money for it from social media or live streaming. So much of it is grifting for revenue, not attention.

I don't think we disdain the center-right enough. First, they rode nativist populist tigers to power to get their tax cuts and deregulation; Then, they lost control of their own parties to those tigers; Now, they sit in lucrative jobs as columnists writing about how it's all the left's fault.

The RNLI rescued Luftwaffe pilots in WW2 because the organisation is there to 'save life at sea' - it's something to be immensely proud of. But as I've said many times before Farage and Co don't seem to have pride in Britain and its institutions beyond flags and crap Enoch Powell said 60 years ago.

And yet she can't persuade her own colleagues and government to get the eff off X 🙄
ulture Secretary Lisa Nandy branded Elon Musk’s X “disgusting” for swerving a summit about social media attacks on the Royal National Lifeboat Institution. She fumed to the Electoral Dysfunction podcast that while other firms took part, X failed to turn up or even reply to the invite. “I think it says a lot about how they see their — well, how they don’t see that they [have] a moral and social set of responsibilities to us all.”

Burnham should visit an RLNI station and thank the volunteers. There's no way that the vast majority of people, even those who are more hawkish on immigration, are not going to side with the RLNI over a mob of balaclava-wearing thugs.

Think the discourse on “lanyardian” is missing the far crazier part of this, which is that it’s a conversation between two people who now believe that saying “UK” is a weird, Starmer-like affectation. Margaret Thatcher used it, because it is literally the name of our country!
