I used to feel bad for Star Wars droids. People were so mean to them when they’re just lil guys doing their best, doing what they’re programmed to do. Now that we have genAI, I get it. If ChatGPT had a metal body and followed me around, I’d probably try to nudge it into a ditch.

over on x the everything app some Chicago high school kid named Danny Spud tried to disrupt his school's anti-ICE protest by yelling about how much he loves ICE and then filmed himself getting walloped by a fellow student lmao the quote tweet making fun of him has 3x the likes

danny's original tweet which reads, Today, students at my high school in Chicago held an Anti-ICE protest.

I was the only one that decided to hold a sign that said ‘I Love ICE’.

Instead of allowing me to express my opinion, I was assaulted — Just for standing up for law enforcement.

Well, that went better than I would have dared hope. Two of the three players had never played D&D at all, in any edition. Or any TTRPG, for that matter. The other ran and played 3.5 back in the day, but nothing since then. I ran The Jeweler's Sanctum from OSE's Adventure Anthology 1.
