This is your daily reminder.
Meme of Venom talking to Eddie Brock.

Venom: The people who police your gender will police your gender even if you're cis. Eat them.

"Oh, those body builder women with pancake breasts aren't…" — Eat them.

"This woman has a beard, that's not…" — Eat them.

"That man has a baby face, that's not…" — Eat them with barbecue sauce.

Eat them. You will never be gender enough for their definition of gender. Eat them.

Tumblr screenshot of a post by abbiistabbii that reads:

The Germans really cooked making "Hobbyless behaviour" an insult. It is both devastating, applicable to a wide range of people and behaviours, and doesn't resort to swearing.

Man ranting on the internet about the Superbowl halftime show or complaining that something is "woke"? Hobbyless Behaviour. Girls mocking another girl for not looking right? Hobbyless Behaviour. Mindless vandalism? Hobbyless Behaviour.

It is more powerful than "get a life" or the English "You're Sad" because it gets to the central point of the matter, and that is wonderful. Danke, Deutsch.

Possibly unpopular opinion? I think artists should get to sign the art they make for book covers. It should be right there, on the front, because it’s never been more important to showcase the humanness of art. And also there are many times when I see a beautiful cover and wonder, “Who made this?”

I dunno. Maybe because that's a stupid thing to want?
films and series have filler characters, it sucks for the viewer it takes up space but doesn’t add anything to the story. I tend to skip through these scenes manually. So why Isn’t there a way to deselect scenes of certain characters on Netflix or pretty much any content viewing platform, and have that configuration be applied throughout the show. Begs to as what about experiencing the web in general? why isn’t there a way to instantly see a website how you want to experience it, what information should or shouldn’t be there, how it is organized and it instantly adapts to your needs and wishes. It gets better over time. I don’t think this is scifi level thinking, it feels close. An autonomous and highly adaptable UI, it makes me hopeful that digital experiences can become more beautiful and intuitive

personally I think it's a very big deal that the Canada bureau chief for the @nytimes.com — certainly one of the highest-paid journalists in the country — asked an unspecified "AI tool" what Poilievre said & published its AI-hallucinated quotes in her reporting.
Editors’ Note: May 1, 2026
This article was updated after The Times learned that a remark attributed to Pierre Poilievre, the Conservative leader, was in fact an A.I.-generated summary of his views about Canadian politics that A.I. rendered as a quotation. The reporter should have checked the accuracy of what the A.I. tool returned. The article now accurately quotes from a speech delivered by Mr. Poilievre in April. He said, “My personal opinion is that when a member of Parliament goes back on the word they made to their constituents and switches parties, constituents should be able to petition to throw them out and have a byelection. That would put the people back in charge of our democracy rather than having dirty backroom Liberal deals by Mark Carney determine our destiny.” He did not refer to politicians who changed allegiances as turncoats in that speech.
