Really thankful for libraries and that all of the copies of Slackjaw weren't checked out because Jim Knipfel's death is heavy for me. I know I've said before that my most reread book is Cat's Cradle, but it really might be Slackjaw, even though I haven't reread it in about a decade.

This is really cool, but the data they used for Minneapolis is from 2021, so if you are looking around your neighborhood and see something that's wrong, that's why. I contacted them about the wrong trees in my neighborhood to see how they wanted to handle that.

Sorry if I'm being annoying with all the pictures of this when all I did was take some rust off of all of it, and I'm definitely going to take a better picture when it's dark, but this is extremely my shit.

A photo of the same scene described below but this time the room is darkened and all three lanterns are lit. You can see several bold five-sided stars in otherwise delicate, more ornate patterns cast from the lanterns I had before on the white portion of my bathroom ceiling.

I'm about to take a bath to wash all of the rust off me and see how they work together, but so far, I love it. The rust really pulls the whole thing together, and I moved the smaller lantern to my little side cabinet to spread more light around.

Just soaked it in baking soda water to neutralize the acid. Then it will spend some quality time in front of a fan and get a final rub down to take any remaining residue off, but I don't think I'm going to take any more of the rust off.

Every time Roger (my hermitt crab) molts, I have a handful of anxiety dreams about him not surviving it throughout the 2-3 months he's out of sight, even though I know his environmental conditions and diet are A+. Had my first round overnight, and I am NOT A FAN.

One of my favorite things about cartoon colored hair is that if I let it ride long enough between recoloring, my executive function sometimes loops around to really cool results.

A. Self of a fat, white non-binary person wearing black cat eye glasses with spikes on the corners. Smiling gently after catching themselves in a mirror. Their hair goes down to about mid chest and you can see a couple inches of dark brown Roots at the top, fading into a silvery purple, then to kind of a bluish silver and a greenish silver.
