The main problem with the Conservative Party is that it's not "conservative" with a small 'c'. Thatcherism was a radical right wing policy. Brexit was a radical right wing policy. Both brought radical change and eroded the "one-nation" conservative wing of the party so much that it no longer exists.

I have heard rumours that Richard Tice heads a company called Britain Means Business, that has no employees and sells no products but takes in very large donations from foreign based people and forwards them to Reform UK Ltd. I can't believe this is true, but if it is it should bring down Reform.

Irritated to learn that Liverpool managed to preserve its old dock, from 1716 and uncovered in 2001, under a shopping mall. While Brussels couldn't preserve its MUCH older medieval dock, uncovered 2019, under the new town hall of the city it gave birth to.

Earned Settlement won't 'only' force out people in low paid and/or non-graduate jobs. For the following graduate level jobs over half of visas granted in country in 2025 paid below £50,270 and below either the higher salary threshold or the higher going rate; this would mean having to emigrate.
