The neighbourhood association says an unspecified budget has been agreed for some unspecified greenery, with a consultation and decision before year-end. Planting will be in **summer 2028**. And buses will return to the Schuman roundabout at an unspecified moment. Official inauguration October 17.

Andrew Marr frames any discussion of EU membership for the UK as 'toxic'. Meaning the euro and freedom of movement. Meaning 'your currency is buttons, we don't like your sort and we call the shots'. But meaning other (thicker) people have such objections, not him of course.

Years into the Schuman works, buses diverted via Maelbeek still stop at a 'temporary' halt on rue Archimède. The central doors open on to a tree meaning the less mobile need help and those with luggage taking the airport bus have to be acrobatic. Contempt for bus users is chronic in Brussels.
