This is purely my own sense of things, but…I also feel like there’s a lot more willingness to just dress however you want, especially among young people. There are trends (what kind of jeans are currently popular?) but they aren’t as universal or as significant.

i always tell people that Ghost Trick is like Live A Live and Outer Wilds; where the reason people are cagey about sharing secrets about it is because part of the experience of the game is the learning experience so this is a very very good plug <3

I'm dying laughing at how the cat has conformed to her flower shaped bed today
A white cat is sleeping curled up in a med that has five fluffy white lobes of a flower petal, the cat has half her face peeking upwards and otherwise has filled the pentagonal space in the center of the bed completely

#UoLTapestry 2/2 Our guide showed us how to paddle our feet to 'awaken' the quicksand. It was obvious how the tramping feet of William of Normandy's soldiers would have done just that. It's technically impossible to sink in quicksand - but deadly with heavy armour/weapons and the tide rushing in...

Loki is feeling salty on the anniversary of the battle of hastings #UoLTapestry
A four panel comic strip in a simple doodly style featuring Loki from the A Bad God's Guide series that I write and draw. He's getting increasingly angry about his omission from the tapestry.

PANEL ONE: Loki, drawn in a shade of red that recalls the tapestry itself, says, "I was actually at the Battle of Hastings".

PANEL TWO: Loki goes on to say, "But did they put me in the tapestry?"

PANEL THREE: Loki screws up his eyes and yells, "NO!"

PANEL FOUR: Loki, against the backdrop of a quickly drawn British museum with a queue outside, says, "I can't even get tickets to see it at the British Museum!"

A post cover featuring an illustration of Thor and a burning shipA quote that reads: Since you could just Google his name to learn the basics, I’m going to be a bit extra and add some fancy historian magic: medieval manuscripts. This does nothing for Litr…but I want to expose you to the material side of our texts and, perhaps, show you how an Old Norse meal is prepared, from garden (manuscript) to table (translation).

making this into a little sign to pop up as a disclaimer when my religious studies minor is summoned
Understanding these examples, among many others, is not at all dependent upon whether or not we ourselves are religiously-affiliated. The study of religion at a public university is not theology, nor evangelization. Religion is part of culture and vice-versa—hence, our department’s name. Taking from students the analytical tools to recognize the often invisible or unarticulated ways that religion influences their lives is tantamount to rendering them unable to recognize the forces that are working across societies around the world, and because they remain invisible, students cannot combat their abuses. As colleagues have said in a similar context to ours, as citizens of the modern world, you might be done with religion, but religion isn’t done with you.

A panel from UNICO: Awakening, written by Samuel Sattin, illustrated by Gurihiru.

It shows a tiny unicorn, with a big head and light blue fur. He has a purple main and a white tail. His horn is tiny. He's looking down curiously at a grasshopper. The caption box reads: "But one was peculiar, both brave and curious"
