According to Westmore, the Morn mask underwent several revisions to fit alongside the franchise's aliens before it was approved by the producers: "Several heads were made for Morn to appear in DS9: 'Emissary'... some of the heads they felt were a little too far out, that they weren't quite STAR TREK."
