*looks at the soapbox but doesn't get on it just yet* What is prison for? Today it's largely for slavery and punishment. In a medieval respect, you forced financial compensation to atone for crimes and had community led judicial structures. Mostly political/noble people were kept at length.

Not weather per se but seasonal, and can affect the weather. Each season ties to an elemental plane having a thinner separation with the equinoxes and solstices being the thinnest. In addition, Fairy corresponds with summer (along with Fire) and Death corresponds with Winter.

Had my players in my D&D game play Pac-Man! Sorta lrge room, only thing they can see is a blocke off area in the middle, exit directly across from where thy entered But there were invisible walls making a maze in the room. Each step they could hear a sound, a wkka-wakka if you will.

Checking in with your players at the end of or even in the middle of a session (be it to see how they are doing after a tense scene or to set expectations/clarify an upcoming segment) should happen more often as it saves alot of headaches from misunderstandings and reinforces communication

Once had a combat encounter where we fought police officers on griffins while we were in free fall from atop the highest point in the city dropping down thousands of feet into the Undercity. Had rules for parachutes, stealing griffins, dodging other buildings. It was really intense
