All this The Odyssey discourse has reminded me that when my kid was a baby I realized that he didn't care which book I read to him as long as I did it out loud, so I read him the Odyssey cover to cover (Lattimore, because Wilson's translation was still four years in the future). So there's that.

I have found one of þͤ most annoying ways to cut down on how many words are in your post. You just use þͤ thorn, representing "th", and combine it with þͤ over-e, letting you replace three letters with merely one!

I went to the river this past weekend with the express purpose of looking for spherical rocks to go in my spherical rock collection and all I found was this egg

A picture of a perfectly egg-shaped stone; it's a brown-grey color with some greenish mottling on the underside from algae. It's sitting on a bookshelf with a row of mostly white-spined books behind it. I have no idea what kind of rock or egg it is, will have to wait until it hatches as it's too dense to candle.
