one of my favorite things about coding is being able to make simple, bespoke software for my needs. most recently i made a little podcast episode downloading web app! podbud is simplistic and makes it easy for me to download podcast episodes with organized filenames that i can put on my mp3 player

Where I work they forced it on us by cutting the staff numbers down to the bone. There is now one person in the data team, and because of the work-load he HAS to use Claude. He even admitted what it made is shit, but it appeases the board of directors.

If there's one thing I know devs love, it's being "fed" requirements! Prototyping & learning by iteration existed before AI and still exists without it. Wireframing, pen & paper, or even writing the front-end mock UI in code by hand. That way is much more collaborative & results in better software.
