As far as I know Dolly was cishet, and Tim never publicly discussed his gender or sexuality, but every single queer person I've ever known enthusiastically embraced both of them as family. And I think that's a special kind of beauty.

my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning.
