It is the duty of the extremely online to send this to your friends, relatives, or colleagues who own portable generators.
Three geese flying with carbon monoxide alarms on their backs. The geese are flying through an intense blizzard over the US. The geese are wearing wool hats with pom poms on top. They are not afraid. The text reads: Carbon monoxide safety geese brigade. Ever loud! Every lifesaving! Ever bird! Make sure your carbon monoxide alarms are working. Keep your portable generator outdoors and 20 feet away from your home!

Can it hurt to give this one more nudge? Perhaps, slightly (because every time I do any self promotion I feel an irrepressible wave of nausea). But I'm going to do it anyway. Because it might bring a mistreated book to three or four new readers. And that's VERY much worth my while.

A big ask, no pressure & I know people have better things to do but if about 15-20 people buy this from Blackwell's in the next few hours it's likely I'd have the number 1 & 2 books in their chart & that might be enough to finally persuade an American publisher to get my books out over there...

I was looking through old photos and found this Accidental Renaissance Painting of the cats
Three different colored cats are hanging around an armchair. their poses are reminiscent of the dramatic, sometimes contorted postures in classical art, but especially attributed to paintings from the Renaissance where these postures convey drama and movement. An orange cat is crouching beneath the chair, his head thrown back dramatically into shadow. Above, on the seat of the chair, a brown striped tabby cat reaches his paw down towards the orange cat, peering at him. Also on the seat but sat stoically on his haunches is a white and brown tabby, gazing away over his two brothers, tail draped down over the side of the chair. The composition of their poses is circular and draws the eye around, and suggests some sort of mythic art as was popular in the Renaissance as well.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection's latest plans may constitute a more pointless waste of taxpayer money than a thirty-foot wall in the Big Bend area. A proposed $2.6 billion “vehicle barrier” will destroy important archaeological sites and pollute what is one of the last wild places in Texas.

The Most Useless Border Barrier in Texas
Anyone who knows the undriveable canyon lands of West Texas could tell you a vehicle barrier is pointless. So why are CBP officials pushing for one?
