Toby In The Sun
Ellie Rhymer
I stopped in the yellow sunbeam
Where you used to sit,
Paws folded in, tail tucked neatly,
Your cleverness whole
In the sun where you used to sit.
It's remarkable
You were not there, miraculous
That you once had been,
Impalpable now as drifting
Motes across the light.
