Living in Austin for most of my life, the one thing I now say that bothers me is calling a taquito a breakfast taco. It's all jumbled up here. A flauta isn't a taquito. Whatever y'all are wrapping into a tortilla with rice isn't a burrito. Burritos aren't healthy.

They got my ass dammit. Of the 3 cities, I can see Houston, but Dallas folks talk weird. That North Texas thing Greg Abbott does. And New Orleans folks, nothing sounds like that, including the rest of Louisiana. It'd be cool to see if they could pinpoint a region in Texas.

Dialect map shows Texas lit up in bright red, as in no way I'm from anywhere else. The cities I'm most likely from: Houston, Dallas, New Orleans. Cities I'm definitely not from: Portland Maine, Boston, and New York.

I'm not impressed with Hinojosa's campaign. So these numbers are more a reflection of the fever breaking than anything she's doing. I very much want her to win, don't get me wrong. Her policies are good. She's just never been in a competitive race. If she wins, it's just the right time.
