Awhile back my team translated a game demo, and if it did well the full game would be made. And we've recently heard that it's going ahead. The dev had tons of praise for our translation because the players loved it. Most important feedback? Players loved that it clearly *wasn't* AI translation.

The world needs more games like Woodo (or I do, at least). I really hope this touching story gets the love and attention it deserves. I had the pleasure of adapting @ramonmendez.bsky.social and Josué Monchan's translation into Latin American Spanish, and also did the LQA pass. This game is a gem. 💚

ACE is known for never crediting any of their contributors, as seen on Hell Is Us, RoboCop: Rogue City, Ad Infinitum (@nacon.bsky.social ) or Tunic ( @finjico.bsky.social ). One thing's for sure, their acronym does not stand for Always Credit Everybody.

The results are in: 0/4 of the recent Tales Remasters/Ports have credited the English localizers who worked on them. This has been an ongoing issue since 2014, when Tales games suddenly stopped crediting English localizers in both remasters and new entries. #TranslatorsintheCredits (1/8)

One of the best things about working in game loc is getting to talk to other translators on the same project about our ideas, doubts and choices. It's so sad that some agencies try to prevent this by not letting translators interact with each other. Brainstorming is essential for creative work!

My take on the whole Mixtape controversy is... that I had a blast working on the localization of the game. I reviewed Laura's excellent translation and took care of the LQA process. Old and tired debates aside, Mixtape tells a touching story set to an amazing OST. Loved it. #TranslatorsInTheCredits

Tomorrow has come. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is now available in Latin American Spanish! Last night, during the Game Awards ceremony, Sandfall dropped patch 1.5, which brings new content, a Photo Mode, and most importantly (to me, at least), new languages, including Latam Spanish!
