‘Trained’ sensory neurons drive allergic sensitization
Nature Reviews Immunology, Published online: 28 September 2026; doi:10.1038/s41577-026-01362-7A study in Immunity reports that protease allergens ‘train’ sensory neurons through metabolic remodelling to enhance the response to re-exposure.

Surprised to discover that Thermo Fisher appears to show a fake western blot for the validation of one of their p53 antibodies. I've added a diagram to show the very similar bands. This does not appear to be one of the "published figures" but their own internal data.

Interleukin-34-dependent perivascular macrophages promote vascular function in the brain
The niche signals critical for the homeostasis and functions of the brain border-associated macrophages (BAMs) are not well understood. Van Hove et al. demonstrate that BAMs require IL-34 derived from mural cells and perivascular fibroblasts for their maintenance in adulthood. They show that BAMs are required to promote normal vascular function in the brain.
