🏆Climate targets are everywhere Using open data from the Climate Policy Atlas, researchers analyzed how national climate targets relate to real-world performance. The result: open, machine-readable policy data enables new insights for evidence-based climate policy. Contributed by #NFDI4Energy
Illustration of the Climate Policy Atlas by NFDI4Energy. A globe is overlaid with interconnected data points and climate-related visual elements, symbolising open, machine-readable climate policy data. Sieht man schön an der Duck Curve: die Strommarktpreise sinken im Sommerhalbjahr um die Mittagszeit immer weiter, abends steigen sie. My prediction is that we will never have enough CO₂ removal (CDR), so overshoot is not a thing. We will hit 1.5°C global warming by 2030, and every tonne of CO₂ we emit will make the world warmer. Where we stop is entirely up to us, but there’s no dialing down the temperature after that.
